Recap by The Metal Wulf

This week, we saw the return of Steve Papagiorgio, which was cool, since we hardly ever see him anymore. Always good for a few laughs!
Joe actually seemed a little surprised that Steve and I were getting along as well as we were. Probably because of that whole lawsuit thing a couple year's back. All water under the bridge, though, it's all good! No hard feelings at all!
(Your check's in the mail, you damnable, infernal, blood-sucking leech...hope you blow it all on hookers and get herpes...)
A request for Celine Dion prompted a short musical interlude on my behalf. The beatdowns ensued almost immediately...no big surprise, there...
Azkath had returned to visit us, seemingly a little miffed over the whole Brony thing. In fact, he'd told me that I had a call from that guy again, regarding that stupid My Little Pony convention. I don't remember much about that call, except that my head hurt afterward...a lot...not to mention the bruising...
And to make the evening even worse, Azkath had gotten wind that I'd snuck in a rare cigarette (it really is unusual for me to light up these days, just every so often if the mood strikes me...), and he decided to freshen me up by dumping athlete's foot powder all over me...
And that was where we left things off...

Recap by The Metal Wulf
Had a couple of surprise visits throughout the evening, the most surprising being the arrival of Steve Papagiorgio, who we last saw leaving the Onslaught in a massive hurry. As you'll remember, Stave attempted to drop by last May.

On No Pants Day...

Yep, he didn't stick around long...

Cool seeing him, although we didn't get a chance to really question him about any current ventures (more like schemes...) he may or may not be involved in. Hoping we can pry into his brain a bit next time!

Lance also arrived, ironically just after we'd played a new track from Stryper, which wasn't terrible, as far as they go. One of those bands I'm usually on the fence about.

Speaking of Lance, he and I had both subjected the listening audience to our respective singing voices. It was an amusing segment, at least from our end.

Seriah Azkath was once again on hand, offering me a gift in the early going, supposedly to make up for the endless taunting he's been doing in recent weeks, constantly dangling the promise of minty fresh breath strips, sometimes directly under my nose.

Seems that my beating him down the previous week didn't sit well. The gift in question turned out to be a portable CD player, kinda old-school, but still useful, in the right hands.

Turned out these were the wrong hands, though...

Yep, and those wrong hands planted that thing directly to the side of my cranium...painfully...soon to be followed up with a fire extinguisher, which, as you can well imagine, was far worse than the discman...

And that pretty much sums up last week!

As for the next installment, look for Joe and Josh in the early going, along with Azkath, I would bet.

Rick and I should be showing up a little later, as we'll be in Rochester checking out Nile at the Montage Music Hall. Pretty sure we'll have plenty to say about this one once we get there!

December 31, 2011 - A Proper Way to End the Year

Recap by The Metal Wulf
Well, this was our last installment of the Onslaught for 2011, and I'd have to say we went out in... Okay, I wanted to say "style", but I'm not so sure that's the appropriate word for it. Hold tight, we'll get back to this before too long...

Steve Papagiorgio was on hand for a visit, his first since August or September of 2010. It had been a long damned time. In fact, it was on his last visit that he threatened to sue me for not really being a werewolf. Seems I lost the trial in absentia, and I've been losing money from my pay each week since. That would explain a damned lot, to be honest.... If Papagiorgio's good for one thing, it's an amusing discussion about Star Wars. Can't remember specifically how this came up, I believe there was something mentioned about a Boba Fett coffee mug, and from there something was said about Boba Fett being the worst character from the orginal Star Wars series. Joe, our long-suffering host, took immense offense at this statement... To be honest, I can't really argue with Steve. I mean, Boba Fett wasn't even IN the first movie, and he needed Vader's help to capture Han Solo (in The Empire Strikes Back), and then turned around and ACCIDENTALLY fell into the mouth of the Sarlacc (Return Of The Jedi). I mean, c'mon already, how pathetic is that? From there the whole thing turned into a discussion about favorite Star Wars characters (Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and Han Solo, pretty much in that order, for me!), and also a suggestion from Joe that Star Wars wasn't...well...
Real...
WHAT?!?!?!?!
Imagine my shock at discovering that a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, NONE OF THAT EVER HAPPENED!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
And then they told me that Santa Claus wasn't real! HUH?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
And the Easter Bunny? And the Tooth Fairy?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
